About the role
- Two-year Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) developing new and emerging engineering leaders at Medtronic
- Full-time salaried leadership training experience with three 8-month on-site rotations through manufacturing operations
- Rotations include Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Manufacturing Engineering and lead to possible roles (Manufacturing Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Innovation Packaging & Labeling, Operations Innovation Process Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Project Engineering)
- Work on-site at multiple Medtronic locations across the U.S. with progressive responsibilities each rotation
- Access to strategic leaders, targeted learning activities, mentorship, and industry certifications (Yellow/Green Belt)
- Complete capstone project, network across peers and leaders, and gain multi-platform and multi-site exposure
- Transition to a full-time Medtronic position in Global Operations & Supply Chain after program completion (position determined near conclusion)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in engineering degree required (Those graduating with a Master’s degree are not eligible)
- 0 years of experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and not require sponsorship now or in the future (no E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J or TN or other temporary visas)
- Highly mobile and willing to pursue different U.S. geographic opportunities
- Willing to work on-site at multiple Medtronic U.S. locations and rotate through three sites
- Preferred Engineering degrees: Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering (nice to haves)
- Exceptional engineering students who demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
- Previous internship experience (not necessarily Medtronic) (nice to have)
- Candidates attending the 2025 Society of Women Engineers Conference in New Orleans, LA (posting intended for these candidates)
