About the role

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develops, builds, and strengthens long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Pursues leads, assesses needs, and provides product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities
  • Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
  • May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and/or accounts involving multiple team members
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships, develops new accounts, implements sales strategies, and closes sales
  • Provides guidance, coaching and training to other sales professionals and support employees when required

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor degree (B.tech/B.sc/BCA/B.pharma)
  • 6-9 Years of experience
  • Advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through education combined with broad sales experience
  • Career-level sales representative, fully qualified, experienced professional
  • Ability to develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Experience pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services
  • Experience implementing market development plans/strategies and conducting market research
  • Ability to communicate customer feedback to R&D, Operations and Marketing
  • May provide guidance, coaching and training to other sales professionals and support employees
  • For sales reps and other patient facing field employees, compliance with credentialing requirements at hospitals or clinics is expected
  • Employer participates in the federal E-Verify program to confirm identity and employment authorization of newly hired employees
