About the role

  • Maintaining, developing, and growing customer base by reaching out to existing Medtronic Patients and end users, promoting medical devices within Queensland territory
  • Driving new patient growth through proactive engagement with New Patient Leads
  • Selling Medtronic's products and ensuring the retention of end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts, while striving to meet predefined sales targets
  • Proactively identifying, nurturing, and closing leads, and facilitating referral of internal leads to appropriate channels
  • Offering insights on potential new markets and feedback on product launches and enhancements
  • Promoting educational efforts to enhance understanding and appreciation of products and services
  • Collaborating with field sales representatives to strategise and execute sales activities, conduct sales calls, analyse data, identify customer opportunities, coordinate product demonstrations, and ensure prompt follow-up

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, a degree in Nursing, general Science or Business is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in field sale, inside sales or sales support/administration within the medical devices, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly desirable
  • Understanding of Type I Diabetes is desirable
  • Experience working with SalesForce or similar CRM system is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident ability in making multiple outbound phone sales calls on a daily basis
  • Ability to build strong customer (internal and external) relationships at all levels
  • Good understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office suite of software
