About the role
- Support projects from Contract to Completion including managing resources, schedules, financials and adherence to quality and safety throughout the project life cycle
- Manage issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery
- Run the project day-to-day verifying required deliverables of quality, within time and cost constraints
- Establish and enforce safety requirements to ensure compliance with industry and Company standards
- Lead scheduling, budget and document management from Contract to Completion
- Track and report on project results and metrics and provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
- Manage and mentor project support positions such as project superintendents and administration
- Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives and chair project team meetings
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and manage changes as required
- Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
- Demonstrate functional acumen to support client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices and company risk thresholds
- Perform other duties as assigned; travel as needed up to approximately 50%
Requirements
- 5-8 years construction related experience
- Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, decisive, with ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Technically competent with MS Project, Excel, Word, Power Point and Project Management Software
- Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of safety field concepts, practices and procedures
- Well organized with excellent customer service skills
- Skilled at negotiation with customers and vendors/subcontractors
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Experience at directing the work of others to ensure project completion and success
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Able and willing to travel through the northwest territory as needed (travel required up to 50%)
- Valid Driver's License

- "Nice to Haves": Bachelor's Degree (desired); Knowledge of relevant building codes and UBC; Modular building industry experience preferred
