Balance risk and reward as the go-to person for compliance matters across existing and potential future markets, including data privacy, consumer protection/legislation, and food safety
Hold overall responsibility for data privacy and GDPR compliance
Deliver training to staff on legal and compliance topics
Draft and negotiate larger contracts, and support the organization with template agreements and self-service tools
Oversee corporate governance topics, including shareholder communications, formal compliance requirements, and decision documentation
Act as the main point of contact with external law firms, ensuring their advice is interpreted and implemented effectively
Play an active role in funding-related activities and lead legal due diligence processes
Explore and assess new business opportunities and their regulatory landscapes
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with information security regulations, such as NIS2
Report to the CFO and work within the Finance department
Requirements
Law degree from a Swedish university or a master’s degree in business and commercial law (Affärsjuridisk masterexamen)
At least two years’ work experience in a law firm or in a similar in-house role
Preferably experience at a global growth company
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and verbal
Attention to detail with ability to deliver quickly and efficiently
Solid risk assessment skills, balancing the company’s need for speed with commercial interests
Ability to independently stay up to date with relevant legislation
It’s a plus to have additional language skills, especially German
Experience advising or working within a company operating across the EU or in e-commerce
Previous experience with data privacy matters (GDPR)
Experience handling corporate governance related matters, such as AGMs, SHAs etc.
Experience collaborating with IT on information security regulations (e.g., NIS2)
