General Counsel

• Balance risk and reward as the go-to person for compliance matters across existing and potential future markets, including data privacy, consumer protection/legislation, and food safety
• Hold overall responsibility for data privacy and GDPR compliance
• Deliver training to staff on legal and compliance topics
• Draft and negotiate larger contracts, and support the organization with template agreements and self-service tools
• Oversee corporate governance topics, including shareholder communications, formal compliance requirements, and decision documentation
• Act as the main point of contact with external law firms, ensuring their advice is interpreted and implemented effectively
• Play an active role in funding-related activities and lead legal due diligence processes
• Explore and assess new business opportunities and their regulatory landscapes
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with information security regulations, such as NIS2
• Report to the CFO and work within the Finance department
