Manager – Technology, Core Platform

Compliance

• Interpret domestic and international sanctions (UAE, US, UK, EU, UN etc.) and maintain sufficient awareness and knowledge of Sanctions that impact the bank and/or its branches or subsidiaries.
• Conduct investigation of complex and high-risk Sanctions alerts as per the regulatory requirements and in accordance with internal Compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure full adherence to Group Sanctions Policy, including but not limited to related Sanctions Guidance and operating procedures.
• Support Compliance Manager in identifying Sanctions risk themes and trends and improve sanctions risk management capability.
• Review and disposition of Sanctions screening alerts through effective investigation and adherence to policies, standards and procedures. Highlight concerns, trends and patterns to Compliance Manager.

Vice President

• Responsible for lending/financing Policies / Framework for specific products in UAE.
• Author and manage the credit criteria and Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria for specific products.
• Responsible for portfolio quality and portfolio management strategy by defining retail credit policy / lending / financing parameters.
• Responsible for the retail bank’s strategy on ‘Risk’ & ‘Growth’ areas through appropriate retail credit policy actions.
• Achieve the planned risk charge for retail products by ensuring quality acquisitions, by working with underwriting units to improve lending criteria from time to time, making them digital friendly, and by initiating portfolio measures to improve / stabilize flow rates on a continual basis
• Update and maintain Retail Credit Policy Manual which is the framework for the individual Product programs.
• Ensure all retail credit policies are aligned with the strategies’ orientation and target segment that the bank wants to grow.

Risk

• Support stakeholders in developing and refining the bank's decarbonization strategies and roadmaps for financed and operational emissions.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on sector-specific decarbonization challenges, technologies, and opportunities relevant to the bank's lending and investment portfolios (e.g., energy, transport, heavy industry, real estate).
• Engage with the collection, validation, and analysis of GHG emissions data both operational and financed.
• Support the annual financed emissions baseline refresh calculations.

• To Monitor and action on the fraud alerts generated by the Enterprise fraud module in real time and resolve queued alerts according to the defined scope guidelines.
• Responsible for the prevention and detection of potential frauds through timely review of alerts generated by EFM system.
• Conduct preliminary investigation to validate the transaction information received through the alerts and take a real time decision to allow or stop the ongoing transaction.
• To reduce fraud losses (current and future) by action on the EFM alerts in real time.
• Liaise with various teams on the alerts received for recalling of funds or taking any/all other immediate actions to safeguard the Bank and customers’ interests.
