About the role
- Prepare consistent print-ready artwork alongside the Compliance team, ensuring brand guidelines, legal requirements, and deadlines are met.
- Adapt existing packaging designs across formats, sizes, and product lines.
- Support development and refinement of MaryRuth’s packaging assets to ensure consistency across touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development and Compliance teams to create new and updated packaging that aligns with regulatory requirements and brand/product needs.
- Share design drafts and packaging mockups for review and feedback.
- Maintain MaryRuth’s brand guidelines and ensure creative outputs adhere to established standards.
- Continuously refine design templates and asset libraries for improved efficiency.
- Ensure Creative team access to renders within DB and Bynder and support communication about new products.
- Research trends, materials, and competitor packaging for inspiration.
- Occasional travel (<5%) as needed.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in packaging design, preferably with at least 1 year in a coordinator or similar role.
- Intermediate proficiency in design software (preferably Adobe Illustrator).
- Experience with Photoshop strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Slack, Asana, Propel or other project management tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in packaging design for DTC and Retail; CPG experience a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to present creative ideas effectively.
- Ability to work CST or EST timezone preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (application asks about work authorization and sponsorship).
- Physical requirement: able to exert up to 10 pounds occasionally and sit most of the time.
