About the role
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and revenue in assigned territory.
- Recruit and manage high-performing sales groups aligned with growth and product objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key surgeons, customers, and distributors.
- Forecast and report sales revenue and KPIs; drive accountability to quotas and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Oversee inventory use and deployment in the field per company policy.
- Partner with National Accounts on contracting and pricing for hospitals and major accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews with selling entities; create and manage strategic plans by Business Unit.
- Identify market trends and competitor activity; seek new growth opportunities.
- Support field sales training needs; participate in sales meetings, conventions, and industry events.
- Travel weekly (flying and driving) as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in medical products/devices (5+ years managing independent agents/distributors and direct sales teams).
- Strong understanding of regional market dynamics and business practices.
- Excellent relationship management, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to handle product questions and surgical use of devices.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and business development principles.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
