About the role

  • Support daily financial operations and ensure integrity and accuracy of accounting processes.
  • Upload and reconcile bank transactions regularly to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Create and manage Sales Orders and customer invoices in alignment with commercial agreements.
  • Issue credit memos related to RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorisation) or refunds.
  • Apply customer payments to outstanding balances accurately and promptly.
  • Respond to finance-related queries and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Procurement, Accounts Receivable).
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including accurate data entry.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate internal teams when needed.
  • Help build a scalable and responsive finance function as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role within industry or corporate environments.
  • Good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, particularly Revenue Recognition (AASB15/IFRS15).
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with confidence handling large datasets and reconciliations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (good to have).
  • Well-organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities (good to have).
  • Experience using Xero or similar accounting software (good to have).
  • Exposure to SaaS, technology, or startup environments (good to have).
  • Familiarity with AI tools in finance and a desire to embrace innovation (good to have).
