About the role
- Lead high-level design work with autonomy and authority, facilitating design studios and working sessions
- Leverage UX expertise, design systems, UI design, and micro-interactions to create useful experiences
- Turn nebulous concepts into specific end-to-end digital product experiences
- Design holistic systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly
- Use and contribute to the improvement of the design system to ensure cross-platform consistency
- Draw insights from research and data and convert them into tangible solutions
- Build relationships and advocate for the user with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing
- Oversee UX from conception to launch
- Be a positive role model and culture carrier within the design team and advocate for design across Lightspeed
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience
- Applied experience with service design practices and evolving design processes
- Applied experience across responsive web, native applications, and physical/digital manifestations
- Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills to elevate visual identity
- Excellent communication and visualization skills
- Fluency in use of design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies
- Passion for sharing design strategies with designers, product managers, and engineers
- High self-awareness and deep empathy for customers and team goals
- Curiosity about product strategy and vision
- Fluency with Figma, Google Suite, JIRA
- Confident in spoken and written English
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product creation process and decision-making
