About the role

  • Lead the development of cross-product design patterns within Figma’s evolving ecosystem
  • Shape and influence the overall strategy for cross-product design, guiding how Figma’s products interact and enhance each other
  • Tackle advanced design challenges that involve multiple, interconnected products, ensuring a cohesive and scalable user experience
  • Define and communicate a compelling vision for cross-product design patterns, aligning with Figma’s broader design principles
  • Partner closely with product management, engineering, design, and research to develop and implement design systems that work harmoniously across different products
  • Design, prototype, and iterate on intricate workflows and high-fidelity visuals, delivering solutions that meet the complex needs of a diverse user base

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UX and UI design for software products, with a focus on multi-product ecosystems
  • Proven expertise in leading the design of integrated experiences across multiple, complex products, from concept through execution
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, particularly in designing intuitive and scalable solutions for challenging, cross-functional design problems
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale design projects that require coordination across multiple teams and organizational lines
  • Mastery of communicating sophisticated design through prototypes and concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and refining large-scale design systems that span multiple products and platforms (added plus)
  • Strong aesthetic sense, with a proven ability to craft visually compelling and highly functional user interfaces (added plus)
  • Mentorship experience, with a passion for guiding and developing the skills of other designers (added plus)
