Lead a Sales team in line with organization and department strategy to realize Sales objectives
Train and develop leadership skills, business acumen, and relationships across the organization
Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
Train alongside other professionals in many facets of the business including reporting, key accounts, levels of authority, approvals, account set ups, strategic planning
Provide leadership training in goal setting, performance management, hiring, onboarding, and coaching
Provide interim coverage for DSMs on PTO or other time off
Oversee planning and execution of major Turnarounds and Shutdowns for the region
Responsible for revenue growth (new and existing accounts) and margin enhancements
Territory and Opportunity Pipeline Management
Link Product and Sales Management and implement strategies to bring new businesses into the portfolio
Drive PMCs (Product Marketing Combinations) and coordinate team activities to secure opportunities
Capture, understand, filter, document, and share Voice of the Customer
Initiate, formulate and implement new business practices for Sales and manage change programs
Manage key client and customer relationships and recommend technical/professional Sales solutions
Manage development and/or delivery of budget plans for the Sales department
Drive Employee and Customer engagement
Interpret operational Sales policies and monitor implementation and communicate with operations management
Understand market dynamics in terms of existing industry and opportunity for growth
Requirements
Bachelors degree in marketing, business, engineering or related business or technical field
3-5 years of experience in selling technical products and services and managing sales teams in Business to Business (B2B) environment, or equivalent education and experience
Preferred Industrial MRO distribution and/or industrial manufacturing sold via distribution leadership experience
Knowledge of strategies and systems for selling technical products and solutions-oriented services in industrial services markets
Understanding of contracts, negotiating strategies and technical sales methods for integrating and growing acquired businesses, products and services
Experience in developing and executing strategies to meet sales targets, grow future sales and expand product offerings and services
Experience in building strong working relationships and executing across all functions and levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to build professional, performance driven sales teams and develop skills of team members
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and to outside markets
Advanced creative, analytical, negotiation, customer service, managerial and presentation skills
Ability to drive business plans, goals and accountabilities in a multi-cultural environment
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at an advanced level in a manner that is clear and responsive to questions and issues
Ability to manage multiple complex assignments to meet deadlines under challenging work conditions
