Manage end-to-end procurement for IT hardware, software, and services, including soliciting quotes and negotiating pricing and contracts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and suppliers.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technology needs and ensure timely procurement.
Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy in billing and invoicing.
Stay current with market trends and new technologies to inform purchasing decisions.
Develop, implement, and maintain an IT asset management (ITAM) program including policies, processes, and procedures.
Maintain detailed inventory of IT assets (hardware, software licenses, maintenance contracts) throughout their lifecycle.
Track and manage assignment and retirement of IT assets; conduct regular audits for accuracy and compliance.
Oversee secure disposal of retired IT assets in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
Generate and analyze reports on procurement and asset management to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide regular updates to management on inventory, procurement activities, and budget tracking.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT procurement and/or IT asset management.
Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licensing models.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Experience with IT asset management software and procurement systems.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), CHAMP).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines; adept at liaising between multiple departments.
