About the role
- Support enterprise strategy, platform evaluation, and implementation planning for a federal civilian client in ICF’s digital transformation and IT modernization division.
- Lead development of an enterprise-wide IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategy, including governance, compliance, and lifecycle management frameworks for both Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
- Assess current ITAM processes, tools, and compliance posture to identify cost optimization and risk reduction opportunities.
- Guide the evaluation of ITAM platform alternatives and lead vendor engagements, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
- Develop high-level implementation roadmaps using phased Agile approaches (research, prototype, production).
- Provide recommendations for integration with enterprise ecosystems such as ERP, procurement, and IT service management platforms.
- Advise senior executives on licensing optimization, cost savings, risk mitigation, and compliance readiness.
- Deliver strategic recommendations, dashboards, and reports to executive and technical stakeholders.
- Support corporate growth initiatives, including RFI/RFP responses, solution development, and client presentations as a subject matter expert.
- Combine strategic advisory, technical analysis, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic client-facing, high-visibility consulting environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, with demonstrated success developing enterprise ITAM or SAM strategies.
- 8+ years of experience working with ITIL, ISO/IEC 19770, or equivalent ITAM frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience working with federal civilian requirements, including OMB guidance, FedRAMP, and NIST standards.
- 5+ years of experience successfully integrating ITAM platforms with enterprise ecosystems (ERP, procurement, ITSM).
- 5+ years of experience supporting data migration planning and execution.
- 5+ years of experience defining, tracking, and presenting quantifiable outcomes (cost savings, compliance improvements, efficiency metrics).
- 5+ years of experience as an excellent communicator with exceptional client-facing skills, including engagement with executive leadership.
- Must reside in the United States and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred: Prior federal consulting experience in IT Asset Management or governance; knowledge of SaaS, cloud, and hybrid licensing models, including AWS, Azure, and GCP; Preferred certifications include Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), or ITIL; demonstrated success leading tool assessments, vendor negotiations, and proof-of-concept projects.
