About the role

  • Manage a portfolio of 25+ concurrent IT projects of varying complexity and duration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal engineering teams; ensure timely, clear, and confident communication.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, schedules, and updates using task management tools.
  • Monitor project budgets; understand margin, leakage, and scope creep, and take action to mitigate risks.
  • Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for clients; facilitate non-technical client understanding.
  • Foster client trust and satisfaction through professional conduct, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams and project coordinators to drive delivery excellence.
  • Apply analytical thinking to identify patterns in project risk or bottlenecks; escalate systemic issues appropriately.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to internal process refinements and best practice sharing.
  • Demonstrate a learning mindset by deepening understanding of infrastructure concepts and project delivery techniques.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or 1–3 years minimum experience managing IT projects.
  • CAPM, APM, or equivalent certification or demonstrated project management capability.
  • Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or similar IT services environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently engage stakeholders.
  • Foundational understanding of project financials and their connection to delivery actions.
  • High proficiency in time management, organization, and task tracking.
  • Preferred: Exposure to or certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with common project infrastructure elements and comfort working alongside technical stakeholders.
