About the role
- Leave & Time Off Management: partner with the leave administrator in US & Canada to ensure leaves are administered in alignment with policies and pay is processed correctly
- Benefits Administration: lead day-to-day benefit tasks in US & Canada including tracking enrollments & terminations, resolving system & file errors, and acting as liaison with benefit vendors and brokers
- Open Enrollment (US Only): support setup of open enrollment project plan, system configuration and communications
- Communications: assist with creating and tracking communication deliverables including presentations, flyers, Slack posts, and internal benefit site
- Billing: audit monthly invoices for accuracy, reconcile vendor credits, and audit contributions for FSA, HSA and 401(k)
- Payroll Support: validate payroll deductions and leave pay each pay period
- Compliance: ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial requirements, update plan documents, administer ACA reporting, distribute required notices, coordinate non-discrimination and 401(k) testing, and support audits and filings
- Process Improvement: identify areas for automation or improvement to reduce manual effort
- Monitor US & Canada Workers’ Compensation program
- Develop and maintain relationships with global benefits team and internal stakeholders
- Provide education & support to HR Partners regarding benefit programs and practices
- Participate in due diligence during mergers and acquisitions as required
- Participate as a stakeholder in benefits-related or broader HR projects
Requirements
- 10+ years of benefits experience, preferably in a similar role at a high tech, multinational company
- Experience administering leaves in the US & Canada
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Highly organized, operationally astute and data-oriented
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Willingness to embrace change, self-motivated and proactive learner
- Exceptional customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with an HRIS (Workday) and benefits enrollment portals (ADP Workforce Now) and UKG
- Proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR

- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments
