About the role
- Design, plan, coordinate, and execute testing on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global-ASNT), Time Distribution Subsystem PreProcessor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), and various other MILSATCOM systems, subsystems and devices
- Provide engineering and technician-level support, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, system-level anomaly resolution, and the identification and isolation of software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
- Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports
- Provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure to support the MILSATCOM Program Management Office within USSF Space Systems Command
- Support operations and sustainment activities for Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems
- Collaborate with a multi-contractor environment and support Joint and Allied operational warfighting community employing MILSATCOM and NC3 systems, terminals and software applications worldwide
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required for this position
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline from an accredited university
- Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- 5+ years of small team leadership experience
- 5+ years experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
- 5+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
- 5+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 20%
