• Review prescriptions, medical records, letters of medical necessity, and case documentation provided by intake specialists for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop patient-specific tactics and narratives to support medical necessity and positive coverage decisions.
• Prepare, assemble, and submit prior authorization requests to health plans.
• Serve as primary point of contact for insurance companies, ensuring timely and accurate processing of prior authorization requests.

Market Access Case Manager – Contract

Sales

• Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives and national strategy
• Manage, support, and optimize performance of 1099 independent sales representatives across multiple states
• Set clear KPIs, monitor pipeline activity, and ensure achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals
• Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to expand Kandu’s presence within the region
• Recruit, onboard, and train new 1099 sales reps as needed

• Supports the management of the prior authorization process for patients seeking insurance coverage for the IpsiHand Rehabilitation system
• Responsible for in-network gap exceptions, and negotiation of Single Case Agreements (SCAs) for patient-level device coverage
• Communicate with payer representatives to confirm receipt of clinical documentation and identify missing information
• Document all payer communications, call reference numbers, outcomes, and next steps in case management systems
• Provide ongoing status updates to patients, providers, and internal stakeholders regarding insurance approvals and next steps
• Confirm authorization effective dates, approval durations, and renewal requirements to maintain continuity
• Monitor payer portals and follow up via phone/fax to ensure authorization requests are actively being processed
• Ensure timely follow-up on all open cases to meet service level expectations and improve patient outcomes
• Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Patient Intake, RCM and Clinical teams to share information, facilitate high-quality handoffs, and optimize patient experience

• Assist in the preparation of the company’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Help drive month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to provide relevant support for financial audits, tax filings and compliance requirements.
