About the role
- Own the testing lifecycle and execute end-to-end manual testing for all product features, including accounting modules.
- Perform regression, sanity, and smoke testing for each release.
- Translate business and accounting requirements into detailed, executable test cases.
- Validate financial calculations, reporting, reconciliations, and workflows against accounting standards.
- Maintain and update comprehensive test documentation (test plans, test cases, regression checklists).
- Identify, log, and track defects clearly, ensuring timely resolution with developers.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and accountants to ensure alignment on requirements.
- Proactively identify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements or implementation.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with accounting and business teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of manual QA experience, preferably in finance, accounting, or ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (ledgers, invoices, reconciliations, financial reporting)
- Proven ability to design and execute regression and sanity test suites.
- Skilled in documenting and maintaining test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Experience working with Jira (or similar tools) for issue tracking and test management.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to explain issues in both business and technical language.
- Nice to have: Background in accounting or finance (degree or professional experience).
- Nice to have: Experience testing ERP, financial software, or accounting systems.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
- Nice to have: Exposure to automation concepts.
