About the role
- Create high-end structural designs for folding cartons and structural marketing materials, ensuring all designs meet customer specifications and standards
- Participate in customer planning meetings and deliver 3D renderings and physical packaging prototypes for presentations
- Provide die lines for clients, prepress, and estimating, and organize/manage all digital die lines
- Efficiently lay out tooling for in-house equipment and work within established protocols and procedures—while helping develop new processes as needed
- Work closely with design team members to identify and develop the best possible packaging solutions, clearly communicating design decisions and detailed production requirements
- Maintain clear organization of large, ongoing projects involving multiple components and revisions
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the entire design process—from concept and prototyping to production—including finishing processes such as die cutting and gluing
- Knowledge and experience in ArtiosCAD
- Steel rule die layouts are required
- Familiarity with 3D programs is a plus
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to professionally represent the company in customer-facing project planning meetings
