About the role
- Lead integrated automated material handling projects across North America, overseeing administrative, contractual, technical, and financial components
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder communication
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams and subcontractors; establish priorities and resolve conflicts
- Ensure system designs meet contractual and technical requirements
- Develop, maintain, and control project master schedule to ensure timely completion
- Monitor and report project progress on a weekly and monthly basis
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and project participants
- Manage risk throughout the project lifecycle and identify process improvement opportunities
- Maintain responsibility for project budget aiming to deliver within or below financial targets
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team, fostering cross-department collaboration and team development
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage vendor relationships
- Perform additional duties as required to support project execution and organizational objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related technical field (equivalent industry experience may be considered)
- 5-8+ years of project management experience in automation, parcel, warehouse, or similar industries
- Proven track record managing large-scale projects exceeding $10–$15 million in value
- Experience working within international or cross-functional team environments (preferred)
- Strong project planning and execution skills; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in subcontractor coordination and vendor relationship management
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups in complex environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- High level of organizational skill with attention to detail
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)
- Proficient in project scheduling tools and familiar with ERP/project management systems
- Able to travel up to 50% or as required
- PMP, CSM, or similar certification preferred
- Experience managing cross-functional or remote teams
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- May require extended hours during critical project phases
