About the role
- Oversee daily crew operations and planning across the company’s fleet
- Ensure timely crew changes in compliance with international regulations and company standards
- Maintain and update crew databases and documentation (certifications, contracts, appraisals, etc.)
- Liaise with manning agents and ensure smooth communication with vessels
- Monitor crew performance, training needs, and welfare
- Manage budgeting and cost control related to crewing activities
- Ensure compliance with MLC, ISM, and other regulatory frameworks
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in crew management (preferably in the dry bulk sector)
- Degree in Maritime Studies or relevant field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations
- Experience with crewing software and digital systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Leadership mindset with a hands-on and problem-solving approach
