About the role Support SEA Legal and NA Legal & Compliance teams focusing on legal research, contract review, reporting, and issue tracking Draft, prepare, and report legal findings to headquarters in Korea, primarily in Korean Research legal issues and deliver timely, concise written reports Review contracts and provide legal advice as needed Track weekly updates from SEA Legal and NA Legal & Compliance teams and stay on top of weekly updates from all groups Identify top issues, investigate background, progress, and plans Prepare weekly management reports on key topics Integrate with and support various business teams, including consumer and B2B divisions Prioritize and address important emails and issues promptly Serve as a legal generalist handling diverse topics (compliance, privacy, etc.) Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations and summarize cases and their application Requirements JD from an accredited U.S. law school (required) LLM preferred, especially for candidates who graduated from law school in Korea and completed an LLM in the U.S. At least 3 years of legal counsel experience (in-house or law firm) Open to candidates with more experience, provided they are interested in the role Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (reading, writing, speaking) Strong writing and communication skills, especially in Korean Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills Advanced knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations Ability to summarize complex legal matters and present findings clearly Bar admission in New Jersey preferred, but not required Medical Insurance (Health, Dental & Vision) Paid Time Off 401K H1B/Green Card Sponsorship for qualified employee Hands-on experience at global industry leader Samsung Opportunities for career advancement Copy ATS Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
