About the role
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with a focus on enterprise SaaS contracts
- Serving as the primary legal partner to GTM teams, providing practical guidance that aligns legal risk with business goals
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to move processes forward efficiently
- Developing scalable contracting workflows, playbooks, and enablement materials that accelerate deal velocity while safeguarding the company
- Advising on data privacy, security, intellectual property, and regulatory matters
- Partnering closely with Product and Engineering to integrate privacy and security principles into product development and compliance initiatives
Requirements
- Have a J.D. with strong academic credentials and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Bring 5+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience, with a significant portion focused on B2B SaaS
- Possess expertise negotiating complex SaaS and technology agreements with sophisticated enterprise customers
- Demonstrate working knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), IP ownership/licensing, and information security requirements
- Be comfortable operating independently in a dynamic, high-growth setting—balancing multiple priorities and making judgment calls in real time
- Be an excellent communicator who builds trust and works collaboratively across business, technical, and legal teams
