About the role
- Centralize and lead a team of 10 BDRs across multiple verticals and align with company go-to-market strategy
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes for prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity handoff to Account Executives
- Set performance expectations, KPIs, and career development plans for the BDR team
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimize lead flow, messaging, and targeting strategies
- Own pipeline generation targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds goals
- Leverage Salesforce and sales engagement tools to track activity, measure effectiveness, and drive data-driven decisions
- Hire, train, and mentor BDRs and design career paths into Account Executive roles
- Report on performance metrics and pipeline contribution to executive leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales development or business development leadership experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Proven track record of leading and scaling BDR/SDR teams of 5+ reps
- Strong knowledge of sales development best practices, outbound prospecting, and lead qualification
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data to drive team performance
- Experience centralizing BDR/SDR teams across multiple business units or verticals (preferred)
- Familiarity with sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Sales Engagement) and CRM systems (Salesforce required)
- Background working in high-growth SaaS or private equity-backed environments (preferred)
