About the role
- Drive profitable growth across assigned torque limiter product lines through commercial and technical support
- Focus on geographical expansion and penetrating new markets; identify strategic partnerships
- Gather Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback to inform new product development
- Execute product lifecycle strategies (PLS) and rationalization plans; simplify product offerings
- Enhance brand awareness and implement competitor displacement initiatives
- Lead margin improvement and price realization efforts using 80/20 analysis
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans using the A3 growth template and PDCA methodology; define 3–5-year targets
- Provide technical selling, training, and support to customers and sellers
- Develop new business at key accounts, penetrate new markets, and grow under-performing geographies via direct and distributor approaches
- Track industry trends, conduct prospecting, and support industry exhibitions and face-to-face customer engagements
- Collaborate closely with customer service, application engineering, sales, marketing, operations, Purchasing and Procurement
- Report KPIs monthly and ensure alignment with corporate marketing and supply chain partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of commercial experience in product mgmt. and or sales
- 5 years technical experience and/or application engineering experience in power transmission products and associated industries preferred
- High technical proficiency in torque limiter technology as applied to the industrial power transmission market
- Capable of strategic thinking and execution
- Capable of technical selling and ability to “sell confidence”
- Ability to work in a non-structured environment while remaining personally accountable for achieving defined objectives
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
- Domestic Travel (up to 50%) required
- Periodic travel to South America
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization
