About the role
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy and compliance
- Maintain and update the Payroll & HRIS platform with precise data entry and validation
- Investigate and resolve payroll-related queries via email and phone
- Perform manual calculations and reconciliations covering overtime, travel, allowances, superannuation, tax, and leave balances
- Interpret awards (focus on the Miscellaneous and Clerical Award) to ensure correct application of entitlements
- Collaborate with the finance team and other business units to provide payroll support
- Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing current processes and implementing new best practices
- Handle ad-hoc payroll tasks as required
- Ensure compliance and contribute to achieving a 'Gold Class' standard in payroll execution
Requirements
- Philippines-based candidates
- Minimum 5+ years of payroll experience
- Ideally experienced within the Australian market
- Strong end-to-end payroll expertise with knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Demonstrated experience in award interpretation, particularly the Miscellaneous and Clerical Award
- High attention to detail; ability to manage complex calculations, reconciliations, and payroll reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing as a collaborative team player
- Proactive problem solver and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to align work with AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday)
- Engagement as an Independent Contractor Agreement; disclose existing ongoing roles and mark engagement on LinkedIn as 'Independent Contractor'
