About the role
- Create a shared vision and cohesive roadmap for the product area as a member of the Product Triad (Product Management, Engineering, UX)
- Drive alignment, set goals, build understanding and motivate cross-functional partners across the company
- Guide new product ideas from initial concept through launch
- Engage directly and often with customers to understand their journey and needs
- Use data to identify opportunities, devise strategy, and partner with business stakeholders to execute solutions
- Influence the broader HubSpot product organization to align API design with developer and customer use cases
- Partner closely with UX and Engineering to create high-value, easy-to-use products
- Create and advance ambitious product strategy driven by customer needs, business goals, data, and market indicators
- Participate in in-person onboarding and product group events as required to build team connections
Requirements
- Proven success launching technical products to customers, especially developer platform, API platform, or developer tool products
- Specific experience with API design is a strong plus
- Strong technical acumen and ability to engage deeply on APIs and emerging industry standards/protocols
- Empathy for developers and track record building for developer users
- History of delivering measurable impact through APIs and driving pricing and packaging updates based on API utilization
- Ability to influence multiple teams, drive consistency and adoption of standards
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Drive to understand customer needs deeply and solve their problems
- Passion for growing healthy teams and leaders and facilitating tough conversations
- Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
- Ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate often without perfect information
