About the role
- Provide strategic legal advice to healthcare businesses, with a focus on pre-litigation matters and risk mitigation
- Advising clients on business and healthcare law
- Drafting legal documents and contracts
- Working with clients such as medical doctors and nurse practitioners on business transactions (e.g., buy-sell agreements, contract drafting, and change of ownership)
- Supervising paralegals and law clerks
- Collaborating with the team to support the firm’s vision and client success
- Adhering to our core values and providing entrepreneurial feedback to improve legal workflows
- Providing exceptional legal service without the burden of client acquisition; opportunity to earn bonuses for new business
Requirements
- Licensed attorney in Minnesota, in good standing
- Located within 45 minutes of the Twin Cities
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Eager to expand expertise in healthcare and business law
- Must be tech-savvy and have an interest in embracing technology and AI
- Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
- Previous experience in business law (e.g., patient paperwork, operating agreements, employment law, business contracts, or lease agreements) (nice to have)
- Experience with MHCP/DHS programs and compliance (nice to have)
- Previous experience in health law (e.g., MSOs, Corporate Practice of Medicine Doctrine, HIPAA, or medical billing) (nice to have)
- Interest in contributing to client acquisition efforts (optional, with bonus opportunities) (nice to have)
