About the role
- Develop regional marketing and business development strategies with local office Executive Partner and attorneys.
- Manage multiple regional marketing and business development initiatives and deploy plans at the local or regional level.
- Support international, national, and regional conferences that the Firm may sponsor.
- Develop relationships with local industry and legal trade associations to drive local community engagement.
- Identify and secure speaking, panel positions, and leadership roles for attorneys; drive attendance and positioning at events.
- Coordinate publicity and press releases with Public Relations team; support profile-raising activities.
- Coordinate and execute local events, including seminars, happy hours, and receptions.
- Create and/or revise local/regional show sheets or brochures with practice marketing, creative, and communications teams.
- Develop local marketing budgets and review monthly budget recaps; monitor and evaluate ROI of initiatives.
- Submit sponsorship and event vendor invoices for payment and manage promotional items and event materials.
- Conduct new hire marketing orientation for local office lawyers and coordinate attorney headshots and marketing activity tracking.
- Work with practice managers and media relations to identify and nominate local awards for attorneys.
Requirements
- 6+ years related experience within the legal or professional services marketing environment.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with all members of the Firm from senior attorneys to newest members of business staff.
- Strong writing and editing skills and advanced capability in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strategic, high energy; results and detail oriented.
- Possess the ability to negotiate, cooperate, and follow through.
- Professionalism, resilience, and adaptability; stays calm under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with frequently changing and competing deadlines and priorities.
