About the role
- Work alongside experienced engineers to support the planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests.
- Assist in monitoring test parameters and interpreting flight data to enhance system performance and safety.
- Partner with engineers to improve test processes and develop understanding of flight dynamics and aircraft systems.
- Support test campaigns spanning development, operational and certification testing.
- Gain direct exposure to real-world aerospace challenges and contribute to test activities.
Requirements
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.
- Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
- Strong interest in flight testing.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be able to work full-time for ~12-16 weeks (January - April).
- U.S. export control compliance: must be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
