About the role

  • Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics to design and develop advanced refrigerated display cases.
  • Perform thermal analysis and testing to support product development phases, including prototypes, performance optimization, and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Service) to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
  • Support design reviews and provide technical input to guide improvements in refrigeration system efficiency and reliability.
  • Design and size evaporator coils, piping, and flow control components for new product development.
  • Develop and execute test plans for compliance with DOE, FDA, NSF, and customer-specific standards.
  • Evaluate and validate components through qualification testing to ensure robust performance.
  • Use CFD and heat transfer simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, Siemens Simcenter) and CAD modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and SOPs to support knowledge transfer and product lifecycle management.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes, adapting design practices to ensure compliance in new product launches.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in product development, thermal engineering, or refrigeration systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent/CFX, Siemens Simcenter) and CAD platforms (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer applications.
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory standards (DOE, FDA, NSF) and product testing protocols.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
