About the role
- Set the strategic vision and roadmap for Project Healthy Minds’ fundraising events slate
- Lead strategy for each fundraising event: programming, editorial, talent vision, creative direction, fundraising strategy, production and staffing plans
- Drive execution of all event production elements end-to-end and provide day-to-day leadership to internal stakeholders, vendors, and venues
- Lead vendor and venue relations: sourcing, negotiation, management, reporting
- Quarterback talent securing for events in partnership with CEO, VP of Development, Board, and VIP partners
- Create detailed end-to-end planning timelines and run the planning process
- Own the P&L for all events
- Oversee creation of event materials (digital experiences, solicitation materials, printed materials)
- Ensure a world-class guest experience across pre-event, day-of, and post-event touchpoints
- Partner with development staff on invite lists and initiation strategies
- Manage partners and stakeholders and provide robust reporting throughout planning and recap
- Report to the VP of Development and work closely with the Founder & CEO and cross-functional Development and Creative teams
Requirements
- Proven track record with all aspects of events production (conceptualizing programming, timelines, production: audio, video, labor, staging, catering)
- Experience leading negotiation and management of labor/production needs, sourcing and managing vendors, creating detailed run-of-shows
- Exquisite taste and editorial ability to curate topics, speakers, and participants
- Strategic fundraising mindset to inspire individual donors and corporate partners
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with effective systems and planning skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide day-to-day leadership
- Willingness to travel if needed
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15-20+ years of experience running events with proven success, ideally in the nonprofit space
- Fully vaccinated and boosted with an FDA authorized and/or approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment (requests for reasonable accommodations considered)
