About the role

  • Lead a team of 8 Sales Managers and oversee ~70 field account managers selling MRO supplies to the apartment industry
  • Territory covers the Mid-South: Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and part of Ohio
  • Support the sales team by resolving escalated issues, leveraging territory data analytics, and implementing creative sales solutions
  • Develop new business relationships and strategic approaches to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure a strong customer experience and optimize business results
  • Coach sales managers, support change management initiatives, and foster growth and development of managers and associates
  • Role requires operation of a personal vehicle >20% of the work week and overnight travel >50% of the time
  • Work environment primarily indoor; mostly sitting with occasional light lifting

Requirements

  • Sales leadership experience in a similar industry
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
  • Experience in the distribution industry
  • Evaluating talent, building teams, coaching/mentoring a sales team
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Typically requires BS/BA and generally 7+ years of related experience
  • Must operate a personal vehicle regularly; acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
  • Availability for overnight travel more than 50% of the time
