About the role
- Report to Senior Manager, Sales Ops and 360 Children’s
- Manage flow of metadata and title information from international affiliates into HCUS systems
- Liaise with affiliate offices to ensure timely ordering and maintenance of inventory for frontlist and backlist titles
- Collaborate with affiliates to create and track schedules that support Sales deadlines and timely delivery to market
- Coordinate sales and marketing materials (cataloging, galleys/egalleys, fact sheets, PowerPoints)
- Analyze rate of sales and inventory levels to estimate replenishment needs and resolve inventory issues
- Monitor and maintain warning levels in inventory planning system, factoring lead times and minimum reprint quantities
- Prepare and track bindery shipments to select customers
- Initiate warehouse work orders for displays, promotions, and stock maintenance
- Attend pub schedule review, launch and positioning, monthly imprint reviews, quarterly children’s brainstorm and special markets updates
- Provide support with the children’s marketing plans and budgets
Requirements
- 3 years experience in inventory management and children’s sales operations/marketing
- Experience with Children’s Book Publishing a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to create and manage schedules, track multiple projects, and meet dates in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, with special emphasis on Excel and Filemaker
- Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically across international departments with strong interpersonal skills
- Interest in children’s publishing
- College-level understanding and use of the English language
- A college degree (BA or equivalent) or equivalent work experience
