Lead strategic planning, development and execution of brand marketing programs and initiatives to increase brand awareness, readership and sales in North America
Lead and manage the brand marketing team, providing strategic direction and coaching
Ensure adherence to Harlequin brand identity and voice across external touch-points
Act as a promotional consultant for the department, providing insight and suggestions on specific marketing campaign plans and programs
Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Identify emerging trends in publishing and entertainment and implement go-to-market strategies to capitalize on trending, cultural and seasonal moments
Oversee strategy and execution for brand partnerships and activations
Evaluate marketing programs, initiatives and campaigns and provide analysis and key learnings to optimize for efficiency
Analyze KPI performance of marketing programs and initiatives, recommend optimizations and share key insights with stakeholders
Manage project timelines, organization, and deliverables to meet deadlines
Requirements
6+ years of related experience working in brand marketing/publicity/communications or publishing
Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Publicity/Communications (or related field) required
Strong people management skills and experience with the ability to coach and grow talent
Strong understanding of brand marketing to enhance awareness and affinity
Knowledge/experience in book blogging/influencer/content creation spaces an asset
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Creative thinker with a drive for results
Analytical problem-solver, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
