About the role
- Design and optimize prompts for backend AI agent powering automated financial processing and decision-making systems
- Conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate prompt performance; measure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across different inputs
- Collaborate with engineering and ML teams to implement prompt strategies in production backend systems and APIs
- Develop testing frameworks and maintain versioned prompt libraries with performance documentation
- Research advanced prompt engineering techniques and conduct statistical analysis on system outputs
- Create prompts for backend financial processing and web scraping to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science
- Hands-on experience with large language models (GPT, Claude, etc.)
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills with attention to precision and systematic testing methodologies
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation, performance measurement, and systematic experimentation
- Ability to commit to working minimum 4-hour blocks out of our Seattle office at least once weekly
- Prefer candidates who can start immediately
- Direct mentorship from experienced engineers and ML researchers with real-world experience building production AI systems
- Deep technical understanding of prompt engineering for backend financial automation and exposure to enterprise-scale AI infrastructure
- Experience with performance optimization, testing frameworks, and AI system reliability in a production fintech environment
