Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle
Explain value proposition and demonstrate Payments Platform
Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
Maintain regular communication with Core Payments District Manager
Set appointments with business owners in person via network and referral partnerships
Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Payments solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses
Use CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, on the spot client financial analysis and paperless contract processing
Maintain existing/prospective client records in CRM; Atlas
Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first time appointments, to secure quota
Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio
Attend weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one with your leader
District Manager will accompany during training to train on short-cycle sales process
Requirements
18 years of age or older
valid drivers license
background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment
Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
Live in area relative to job posting location
Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time
High school diploma/GED (preferred)
At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
Works well independently and as part of a team
Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
