About the role

  • Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle
  • Explain value proposition and demonstrate Payments Platform
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintain regular communication with Core Payments District Manager
  • Set appointments with business owners in person via network and referral partnerships
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Payments solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses
  • Use CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, on the spot client financial analysis and paperless contract processing
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in CRM; Atlas
  • Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first time appointments, to secure quota
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio
  • Attend weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one with your leader
  • District Manager will accompany during training to train on short-cycle sales process

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • valid drivers license
  • background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
  • Live in area relative to job posting location
  • Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
