About the role

  • Prospecting and running Heartland Point of Sale presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle
  • Explain value proposition and demonstrate cloud based Point of Sale solution
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintain regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager
  • Work closely with local District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Point of Sale solutions to close sales
  • Use CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, client financial analysis and paperless contract processing
  • Prospect new clients and maintain CRM records including call notes and scheduled client interactions
  • Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first time appointments, to secure quota
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments
  • Attend weekly team meeting and weekly one-on-one with leader

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • valid drivers license
  • background check after conditional offer
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
  • Live in area relative to job posting location
  • Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
  • Experience with CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce (training provided)
