💰 $40,000 - $100,000 per year
About the role
- Prospect and run sales presentations in person and by phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses
- Close deals within a fast sales cycle and achieve quota
- Upsell current clients on other Heartland/Global Payments products and services
- Maintain regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager and attend weekly team/one-on-one meetings
- Use CRM platforms (Atlas, Salesforce) for lead generation, sales presentations, on-the-spot financial analysis and paperless contract processing
- Maintain existing/prospective client records, call notes, scheduled interactions and contact information in the CRM
- Responsible for prospecting new clients and setting first-time appointments
- District Manager will accompany initial appointments during training to coach on short-cycle sales process
- Continuously build knowledge of product/service portfolio and industry developments
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license (regular driving to client sites required)
- Background check after conditional offer
- Completion of mandatory drug screening on/near 60th day of employment
- Live in area relative to job posting location
- Ability to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time
- Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Incentive-driven sales “hunter” mentality
- Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
- High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
- Enjoys cold-calling and in-person meetings
- Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Atlas, Salesforce) preferred
- Preferred: High school diploma/GED
- Preferred: At least two years of relevant experience
