Director

• Develop, manage and ensure success of the GOTR Greater Charlotte council
• Develop and implement a diversified annual fundraising plan and actively participate in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors, sponsors, grants and special events
• Serve as key relationship manager for all funders and cultivate a culture of philanthropy with staff and Advisory Board
• Create the annual council budget, complete reporting requirements, and closely manage monthly revenue and expenses
• Utilize data and Key Performance Indicators to build and implement council operational and strategic plans
• In collaboration with GOTR HQ and Advisory Board, design and implement transition plans to independent council status
• Create strategies to build an inclusive environment for staff, volunteers and participants and develop/support staff to ensure programming follows national guidelines
• Develop community relationships to cultivate partners, volunteers, and media relationships; serve as spokesperson to market program
• Manage program staff to develop growth strategies for site and program expansion, ensure program delivery quality, safety, belonging and accessibility
• Oversee site, participant and volunteer goals and end-of-season 5k events to meet program and revenue goals
• Lead and partner with an advisory board of directors to achieve organizational goals and grow council presence and impact

Council Director

Manager

• Develop seasonal site recruitment calendars and maintain comprehensive contact databases.
• Track GOTR team site history to inform recruitment strategies and monitor site revenue history against budget goals.
• Manage outreach pipelines and execute multi-touchpoint communication strategies.
• Write, segment, and execute targeted email campaigns through Pinwheel and Outlook, including follow-up tracking and personalized outreach.
• Lead site interest calls, present at PTA meetings and community events, and manage physical mailing campaigns.
• Collaborate on recruitment packet updates and create post-season site recap materials to support site cultivation.
• Engage volunteers in visiting teams and providing on-the-ground support as needed.
• As a member of the Program Team, assist with program support and responding to inquiries during peak operational periods.

Program Outreach Manager

• Oversee and execute the Girls on the Run Rio Grande program.
• Develop and implement overall strategy and vision for the program, administration, financial operations, revenue generation, program development and activities.
• Develop and foster relationship with Board of Directors and Girls on the Run International.
• Recruit, train, develop, evaluate staff and volunteers; maintain staffing structure.
• Plan and manage two 10-week seasons of GOTR curriculum including school site recruitment, volunteer and coach recruitment and training, and student recruitment.
• Track progress toward organizational goals and GOTR Mission Advancement Markers.
• Cultivate relationships with coaches, donors, parents, participants, sponsors and volunteers.
• Plan and manage celebratory end-of-season 5ks and act as community ambassador.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit laws and GOTR International Membership Agreement; develop policies and procedures.
• Execute financial, operational and programmatic reports to GOTR International and funding agencies.
• Oversee fundraising efforts, donor cultivation, grants, sponsorships, events, media relations, and partnerships.
• Maintain financial records, internal controls, assist Board with budget development and reporting.

Executive Director provides leadership, vision and direction to the council and broader Girls on the Run organization.
Represents the council to the public, leads organizational development and strategic planning, optimizes financial performance, oversees program delivery, builds donor relationships and oversees personnel.
Works closely with Board of Directors and GOTR International; expands systems and procedures to accomplish mission and strategic goals.
Develops organizational strategy, sound practices and supportive relationships.
Operational and Staff Management: fosters strong Board relationship; oversees recruiting, training, development, evaluation of staff.
Program Development: planning with Board and staff; develops council growth plan; ensuring successful participation of quality programming; track KPIs; cultivate relationships with coaches, donors, parents, participants, sponsors and volunteers; oversee end of season 5ks; serve as ambassador.
Organizational Administration: ensure compliance with laws and GOTR membership agreement; develop policies and procedures; plan for infrastructure growth; establish business systems; maintain ethical standards and accountability; execute reports to GOTR-I and funding agencies.
Fund development and Community Relations: develop diverse funding streams; oversee fundraising efforts; participate in donor cultivation; develop collaborations; media relations; partner with GOTR International for marketing.
Finance: ensure financial performance; maintain record keeping and internal controls; assist Board with budget; review and report financial activities; analyze financial trends.
