About the role
- Develop, manage and ensure success of the GOTR Greater Charlotte council
- Develop and implement a diversified annual fundraising plan and actively participate in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors, sponsors, grants and special events
- Serve as key relationship manager for all funders and cultivate a culture of philanthropy with staff and Advisory Board
- Create the annual council budget, complete reporting requirements, and closely manage monthly revenue and expenses
- Utilize data and Key Performance Indicators to build and implement council operational and strategic plans
- In collaboration with GOTR HQ and Advisory Board, design and implement transition plans to independent council status
- Create strategies to build an inclusive environment for staff, volunteers and participants and develop/support staff to ensure programming follows national guidelines
- Develop community relationships to cultivate partners, volunteers, and media relationships; serve as spokesperson to market program
- Manage program staff to develop growth strategies for site and program expansion, ensure program delivery quality, safety, belonging and accessibility
- Oversee site, participant and volunteer goals and end-of-season 5k events to meet program and revenue goals
- Lead and partner with an advisory board of directors to achieve organizational goals and grow council presence and impact
Requirements
- 7+ years progressive leadership including staff supervision and budget responsibility
- Proven fundraising success
- Experience working with or supporting a Board of Directors
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams
- Outstanding communication skills across multiple environments and audiences
- Strategic leader with strong critical thinking, creative problem solving, and analytical skills
- Proven track record of implementing growth strategies
- Experience managing budgets >$500,000
