About the role
- Lead the design and development of components and subsystems that critically impact vehicle dynamics performance and structural loads
- Leverage advanced virtual tools and full-vehicle simulation packages to drive integration across vehicle dynamics and related disciplines
- Specialize in domains such as tire modeling, control system integration, and other simulation-driven areas that influence vehicle behavior
- Optimize suspension and steering kinematics and compliance and virtually integrate chassis tuning parts to meet ride, handling, and steering targets
- Collaborate to optimize structure and manage loads at key interfaces and create new virtual load cases
- Develop and maintain the cross-functional vehicle dynamics master model framework and co-simulation packages
- Use data management tools to integrate 1D data and control systems into simulation workflows
- Continuously improve model fidelity and advance virtual development to reduce reliance on hardware-based methods
- Integrate active control systems into performance simulations and work with test teams
- Communicate, influence, mentor, and coach team members; work across functions and global partners to deliver designs and integration
Requirements
- Experience with multibody dynamics modeling & simulation and full-vehicle simulation packages
- Ability to optimize suspension and steering kinematics and compliance
- Experience virtually integrating chassis tuning parts to meet ride, handling, and steering targets
- Ability to collaborate to optimize structure and manage loads at key interfaces
- Experience integrating active control systems into performance simulations
- Experience developing and maintaining cross-functional vehicle dynamics master model frameworks and co-simulation packages
- Familiarity with data management tools to integrate 1D data and control systems into simulation workflows
- Experience improving fidelity of chassis subsystems and full vehicle models and creating new virtual load cases
- Familiarity with automation methods such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Strong collaboration, communication, influencing, and leadership skills across functions and cultures
- Mentoring and coaching experience
