💰 $3,900 - $7,300 per month
About the role
- Contribute to investigating Value Package Introduction (VPI) program team or field-based issues; understand causal mechanisms and recommend appropriate action
- Apply and support execution of processes such as Critical Design Decisions, System Design and Validation Consideration Checklist, Design Review
- Use tools such as iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, ANSYS Workbench to enable component and subsystem-level design decision making and refinement
- Support obtaining input and negotiating with cross-functional and cross-discipline technical experts and senior-level designers to communicate design intent through thorough Design Review packages
- Support design decision making in concept selection, concept optimization, and design specifications for PPT/VPI/VPCR initiatives
- Support problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services; execute established work processes under supervision
- Coordinate limited work amongst technicians and/or temporary student employees as needed
- Contribute to team goals, exhibit influence within a work group, and develop proficiency in critical competency areas
Requirements
- Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/University
- Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred
- Must be able to complete a minimum of 4-months to 6-months or a maximum of a 12-months commitment
- Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
- Must be currently residing within the continental U.S.
- Willingness to learn from others on the job
- Degree Programs Considered: Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD
- Major Programs Typically Considered: All Engineering Majors
- Familiarity or exposure to tools/processes such as iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, ANSYS Workbench (preferred/expected in role)
- Competencies: Product Failure Mode Avoidance, Product Problem Solving, Product Verification and Validation Management, Product Development Execution, Monitoring and Control, Technical Documentation, System Capability Engineering, Cross-Functional Design Integration
