About the role
- Lead design, development, and implementation of customized solutions within the Salesforce platform for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration
- Program using Apex, Salesforce lightning component (AURA/LWC), JavaScript, and other languages and tools
- Develop Lightning components writing custom LWC in JavaScript with Aura framework and within SLDS
- Maintain fluency with Apex, SOQL, and SOSL
- Support Product Owner in gathering requirements by providing solution options and highlighting dependencies
- Oversee end-to-end architecture of Salesforce Platform (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Tableau CRM) and integrations
- Develop and configure solutions using Salesforce functionality/Lightning Components, APEX, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL
- Lead complete development process from requirement analysis to deployment
- Review and provide feedback on technical implementations and documents and ensure Salesforce best-practices and standards
- Collaborate with junior developers to perform code reviews and provide feedback
- Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures
- Participate in full application life cycle - design, development, testing, and deployment
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects during project delivery including production deployments
- Mentor and provide guidance to development team members
- May manage team members, monitor work assignments and manage performance
Requirements
- 10 years relevant hands-on experience and Bachelor's degree
- 9+ years of related experience (listed elsewhere)
- Possess Valid Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
- Hands-on programming/custom coding experience with Salesforce platform, requiring LWC AND Apex
- Experience with Apex, Salesforce lightning component (AURA/LWC), JavaScript
- Experience with SLDS, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch classes, SOQL, SOSL
- Experience with declarative platform tools (Flows, Process builder, Lightning App Builder, etc.)
- 3+ years supporting implementation of custom solutions on Salesforce platform in Lightning
- Advanced working knowledge on major Salesforce.com technologies, data modeling, integration, and data migration
- Understanding of Salesforce.com best practices, Architecture, Design, Development, Administration, and security model
- Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration, such as with Copado
- Experience with SFDC IDE and version control (GitHub, Bitbucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX)
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)/Copado (preferred)
- Extensive understanding of HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap (preferred)
- Experience in development of Web Services (SOAP and REST) (preferred)
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint (preferred)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban (preferred)
- Certified SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner or other Agile certification(s) (preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects and stakeholders
- US Citizenship Required
- Top Secret Clearance and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance
