About the role

  • Lead and direct the new equipment sales team to drive sales performance and meet regional sales goals
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve regional targets and drive revenue growth
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance of the regional sales team; select, coach and develop team members
  • Manage organizational talent through performance management, succession planning and development
  • Design and direct processes for performance recognition, feedback and systematic improvement
  • Advise sales representatives on current deals and regularly join sales calls
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs and improve customer satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships and locate opportunities to expand client base
  • Ensure proper use of CRM databases and tools to track performance; analyze sales metrics and report on targets
  • Monitor market trends and provide competitor analysis; optimize sales process and tactics
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders; perform other duties as assigned
  • Frequent travel within the assigned region

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a business or engineering related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a Sales Leadership position
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a direct selling role
  • Experience driving strategic objectives and programs that increase overall revenue
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills with the ability to be hands-on
  • Working knowledge of business enterprise systems (e.g. FieldServio, SAP, ADP, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Frequent travel within the region
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in a business-related field
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of the dynamics between distribution and the subsequent end user
  • Preferred: Proven success in developing and fostering business relationships within distribution
  • Preferred: Experience managing a field-based sales team
