About the role
- Provide oversight and management of front-line manufacturing hourly employees
- Develop an operational year plan for own manufacturing activities of the team; suggest improvements in products, processes, and procedures
- Provide leadership to a team that builds a team environment with safety as a top priority
- Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues
- Develop and support the professional growth of all employees
- Support all company workplace policies, including attendance and safety objectives
- Provide direction and support for assigned production employees/technicians, including resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, Kronos/timekeeping and supporting factory priorities
- Maintain and further develop Visual Management, including support for 5-S, materials and metric displays
- Monitor performance against factory/business objectives (operational and financial) and take proactive action to solve problems and mitigate risk
- Ensure compliance with business, quality and safety standards
- Develop, coordinate, lead, execute, and monitor daily production plan goals and targets
- Develop and execute training plans
- Coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition
- Develop and implement process controls
- Support Cell Leader in strategic planning of workforce, equipment, and other resources
- Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy
- Support, encourage, and drive core manufacturing and Lean principles and continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or operations
- Ability to work weekends, any shift, flexible hours when needed
- High sense of urgency and ownership of assigned tasks
- Ability to foster team connections, build trust, and communicate effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and organization
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
- Demonstrated leader and respectful team player
- Hands-on experience with implementing and sustaining process improvements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver timely actions under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and motivate others
- Willingness and ability to learn from others and listen with intent

- Previous experience leading Kaizen events and proficient use of Lean toolkit to solve complex problems

- Ability to train, coach, and develop employees
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
