About the role
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams and a team of Technical Program Managers across several subject domains
- Provide guidance and direction to team members, foster collaboration, and monitor/manage team performance
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; develop detailed roadmaps, project plans, schedules, and budgets across a portfolio of teams
- Identify and allocate necessary resources and set clear project milestones and timelines
- Identify project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues impacting project timelines
- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and regulations
- Maintain open and effective communication with stakeholders and provide regular project status updates to senior management
- Resolve conflicts and act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders; prepare reports and presentations for project reviews
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation and ensure accessibility
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading and developing program teams in a software development setting
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycles
- Experience working on complex software projects, preferably in a startup environment
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Drive for results and willingness to learn; ability to push the team to deliver on time and under budget
- Desire to learn new things and accept challenges
- Comfort speaking to all audience levels and ability to adapt complex challenges into tangible solutions
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred
