About the role
- Maintain and update financial records, including transaction management, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Communicate with clients via calls and emails to discuss reports, answer queries, and provide bookkeeping support
- Prepare and review financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Work with accounting software such as FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Collaborate with senior accountants within the company as needed to get answers to client questions
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and provide accurate financial insights to clients
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle client calls and emails professionally
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Reliable high speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace area
